Net Neutrality and the Open Internet Order

In case you missed it last week the FCC published the new Open Internet Order, which reclassifies broadband internet as a telecommunications service under Title II of the Communications Act. These new rules provide that

  1. Broadband providers cannot block content
  2. Broadband providers cannot prioritize any content or traffic
  3. Broadband providers can not “impair or degrade lawful internet traffic” because of content
