When reading Forbes magazine about the 20 richest women there are several things that immediately stuck out at me. First the articles itself stated:  “Many of the women among the billionaires ranks inherited their wealth from either their husbands or their fathers. Just 29 of the 197 women are self-made billionaires.” Only 29 out 197 of the richest women? Clearly reflecting that for some reason there is a definite glass ceiling when it comes women being able to earn their own wealth. Secondly I noticed the photos of these women with the exception of 2 or 3 that were from South America, they were all older white women. Not a single photo of a woman of color represented. Entire continents of women: Africa, Asia, etc. not represented. No happy younger faces showing the American dream of rags to riches for our young women. They say a picture says a thousand words, so the photos of these women collectively say more then the words in the article. Draw your own conclusions as to the reasons, but this makes me more passionate about my mission to promote women entrepreneurship.Forbes: The Richest Women In The World 2015.
